The data is transmitted wirelessly to a cloud platform that turns it into three-dimensional visuals and AI-driven setup suggestions. The company starts with motorsport and says the same approach can extend to automotive, aviation, marine and other industries.

The product decision is about closing the gap between modeled and real conditions. A race team can test a surface, see how the vehicle behaves and use the resulting data in its development loop rather than relying only on simulation or a complex fixed test setup. The site positions the tape as consumable, quick to apply and deployable across a vehicle, which matters for repeatable testing and fast changes.

The company homepage also says it can replace parts of traditional testing setups with real-world data. I would shortlist SKN for a team that already runs aerodynamic development and can compare its readings with a known test method. If the team only needs post-race analytics or has no way to act on live data, the sensor layer may be premature.
