OneGC: legal operations for startups
OneGC combines legal agents and lawyers to run startup contracts, governance, fundraising, employment and compliance work end to end.

What it does
OneGC is an operating system for startup legal work. It combines specialized agents with human lawyers to cover contracts, hiring, fundraising, governance, compliance, filings, privacy and cap-table hygiene. The Speedrun profile calls it startup legal on autopilot; the current homepage is more precise: software moves the work faster, while lawyers make the judgment calls.
The fit is a startup that has outgrown ad hoc outside counsel but is not ready for a full in-house legal department. OneGC is strongest when the company has recurring legal operations—offer letters, board consents, contract redlines, 409A/equity hygiene and privacy work—not only one unusual dispute.
Why I’d look closer
The product surface is unusually end-to-end. OneGC says it connects company data, extracts key terms/dates/obligations, identifies legal gaps against diligence checklists, builds a roadmap and then works with the company to close the issues. The homepage shows categories spanning documents, cap table, IP, commercial contracts, employment and compliance. It also makes a useful human-boundary claim: lawyers remain involved in the work.
The homepage displays customer testimonials from Lambda, Anchr, 11x, Codos and Primitive Labs. Those are company-selected customer claims, not independent reviews. The Speedrun founder profiles describe Evan Vandenberg and Gabe Azevedo as prior Dibbs founders and Jacques Baritot as a startup lawyer with Coinbase, Checkr, Yodlee and Fenwick experience. That mix is relevant to a legal operating service.
What I’d ask
Which tasks are handled by software versus counsel, and how are conflicts, privilege, jurisdiction and approval handled? I’d request a sample diligence-gap report, a contract redline workflow, response-time expectations and a clear owner for filings and deadlines. Legal content is high stakes; a green dashboard is not a substitute for attorney judgment.
My editorial take
OneGC is a credible fit for founders who need legal operations to stay current between financings and hires. The company’s advantage is the breadth of the operating system plus human counsel. I’d evaluate it on closure of real legal gaps, not document volume.
