Lanesurf is an AI carrier-sales operation for freight brokers. It fits a broker that still spends hours calling, emailing and texting carriers to find capacity, negotiate rates and keep a load moving after booking.

## What it does

[Lanesurf’s current site](https://www.lanesurf.com/) describes an army of AI carrier reps that works a load across calls, email and text. It finds carriers, checks compliance, negotiates rates, compares offers, books the load and monitors delivery status. If an agent encounters an unclear requirement or missing certificate, the site says it pauses and escalates rather than guessing.

The product is designed around the workflow’s repetition and context. A carrier who calls back should see the lane, quoted rate, hold status and compliance context rather than restart. Lanesurf says it integrates with TMS platforms, load boards, compliance portals and CRMs, with an Excel-based starting path and full integration in under ten days. These are company claims to validate on the broker’s lanes.

The homepage reports 60–80% of loads booked with AI-sourced capacity, 8–10% better buy rates and four-plus hours saved per rep per day. It also says the company is SOC 2 Type II certified. These are company-published claims, not independent freight or margin measurement. Pricing is not public.

## Founder context and tradeoffs

The YC profile identifies Pratham Bansal and Sarthak Singh Chauhan as founders. Their public backgrounds include IIT Delhi, ML research, enterprise AI deployments and inference work. The domain expertise matters because carrier negotiation has edge cases that a generic voice agent will miss.

The buyer should ask about rate authority, carrier verification, compliance rules, escalation, call recording, multilingual conversations and human approval before a booking is committed. More automated calls only help if the broker preserves trust with carriers and protects margin.

## Editorial take

I would shortlist Lanesurf for a broker with enough recurring lanes to run a controlled comparison. Start with one lane family and let the team approve negotiations until the rate and compliance boundaries are proven. If the operation is too irregular to encode, the agent will create more escalations than capacity.
