Erinys: turnkey operating infrastructure for AI-native law firms
Technology, staff, back office, working capital, and growth infrastructure for lawyers launching or transforming a firm.
Published · Updated
Erinys is building the operating infrastructure for AI-native law firms, aimed at lawyers who want to own a practice without first assembling a full back office. The decision is whether a lawyer wants a turnkey operating partner around the legal work—or a software vendor that leaves the firm, staffing, and economics to them.
What it does
Erinys says it provides the technology, staff, intake, client acquisition, working capital, back office, and growth infrastructure required to launch and operate a firm. Lawyers own their firms and make the legal decisions; Erinys describes the workflow as client acquisition, intake, case development, legal work, and firm operations (Erinys homepage; YC company profile).
| Fact | What the public sources say |
|---|---|
| Buyer | Lawyers starting a practice or transforming an existing one |
| Operating model | Turnkey firm infrastructure, not software licensing alone |
| Legal boundary | Lawyers retain ownership and make legal decisions, according to YC |
| Access | The homepage currently offers a waitlist and meeting invitation |
| Founders | Jason Guo, Matthew Pallan, and Sasha Zyuzin |
Why it fits
The appeal is economic and operational, not just technical. A lawyer can bring subject-matter judgment and client relationships while Erinys handles the work that normally forces a new practice to hire, buy systems, and build intake and marketing from scratch. Its “AI-native” model also puts first drafts and routine operations around attorney review rather than presenting AI as the decision-maker (Erinys YC launch).
The tradeoff is that the relationship is deeper than buying a tool. A prospective lawyer should resolve ownership economics, capital terms, staffing control, conflicts, data custody, jurisdiction and practice-area availability, billing, client communications, and the exact line between Erinys infrastructure and attorney responsibility. No public pricing or operating agreement was visible in the reviewed sources, and the homepage presents a waitlist rather than self-serve access.
The founders bring a high-stakes technical orientation. YC describes Zyuzin's vulnerability-discovery and OSINT work, Guo's experience from industrial PLCs to kernel exploitation, and Pallan's engineering leadership, high-frequency-trading systems, and cybersecurity background (YC company profile). That explains the security-first framing, not the quality of the legal services a future firm may provide.
Short version: Erinys is worth a conversation for a lawyer who wants to build a practice but not an organization around it. It is not a lightweight practice-management subscription; the commercial and professional relationship needs careful review.
