Endstack is a persistent cloud desktop for humans and agents. The buyer decision is whether a team wants its files, browser, terminal, apps, and agent to live in one shared workspace—or whether separate tools and a conventional desktop are still simpler.
What it does
Endstack describes endOS as a desktop environment available on web, desktop, and mobile, backed by Linux in the cloud. Each workspace can include a private or shared desktop, browser, terminal, code editor, files, notes, and an agent that works through the same environment and can be reached through Slack, email, or SMS (Endstack homepage; YC profile).

Why it fits
The product's advantage is continuity. An agent can work in the same filesystem, browser, and terminal the human sees, while the workspace stays available after the laptop closes. That is a useful fit for long-running research, code, operations, and support workflows where the agent needs to return to a stateful environment rather than restart from a chat transcript.
The tradeoff is concentration of trust. A buyer should resolve filesystem isolation, browser sessions, credentials, agent permissions, team ownership, data export, and what happens when an agent runs a destructive command. Endstack says files, conversations, settings, and memory live on the container filesystem; this is a company statement, not an independent security review. Pricing was not published in the reviewed sources.
The founders are brothers who previously built Lune AI, according to YC's company launch, and say they dropped out of Harvard to work on AI and coding productivity (YC company profile). That context fits the cloud-desktop and agent-runtime wedge, not the reliability of every workspace action.
Short version: Endstack is worth evaluating when the hard problem is giving an agent a durable, shared computer. Start with a low-risk workflow and confirm control boundaries before moving sensitive operations into the workspace.
