What it does
DigitalCarbon’s current site presents a Gaussian-splatting API and demos made from smartphone photos. The public examples include virtual home tours, product showcases and 3D scenes of objects and vehicles. The YC profile says the system can render interactive scenes at more than 100 frames per second on everyday devices and is intended for real estate, e-commerce, tourism and drone mapping.
The buyer decision is whether a 3D scene changes the customer experience enough to justify adding a new asset format. A property team may want a tour, an e-commerce team an interactive product view and an inspection team a spatial record. The right pilot should use the buyer’s own images and compare load time, visual quality, editing control and conversion or review usefulness against ordinary photos/video.

I would shortlist DigitalCarbon for a team with a repeatable visual catalog and a clear reason to let customers inspect a scene rather than view a gallery. The first test should be one property or product family. If the buyer only needs a handful of marketing renders, a conventional 3D or photography workflow may be simpler.
