ClaimSorted fits an insurer or MGA that wants a claims operation with technology underneath it, rather than another claims dashboard for the team to operate alone.

## What it does

ClaimSorted describes itself as a tech-enabled claims third-party administrator. It combines claims talent with proprietary technology, white-label policyholder experiences, structured eligibility checks, fraud detection, reporting and workflows built around the client’s wording and claims philosophy. [ClaimSorted homepage](https://claimsorted.com/) [YC profile](https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/claimsorted)

The public site says it works with 30+ MGAs and carriers and reports 3x faster claims cycles, below 1.2% claims leakage and below 1% reopen rates. Those figures are company-published performance claims; the page says leakage is based on audits from insurance partners and reopen rates use a 30-day definition. They are not an independent benchmark across the market.

## Why I’d look closer

The value is operational ownership. ClaimSorted is not asking an insurer to install software and staff an entirely new claims team. It offers outsourced claims operations with a technology layer, including policyholder portals, reporting feeds and workflows tuned to the program.

The founders’ history is directly relevant. The [YC profile](https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/claimsorted) describes Pavel Gertsberg and German Mikulski as previous founders of a pet-insurance company; it says Pavel scaled Fluffy beyond 20,000 customers and German automated roughly 70% of back-office processes.

## What could make it the wrong choice

An outsourced TPA changes the operating boundary. A carrier or MGA needs to understand who owns claims authority, escalation, fraud decisions, complaints, data, service levels and the customer relationship. A white-label portal can look like your product while the workflow remains someone else’s.

The public sources show awards and customer logos, but those do not replace a diligence process. Ask for the reporting schema, sample claims workflow, audit definitions, integration options and a clear transition plan.

## My editorial take

I would shortlist ClaimSorted for an MGA or carrier that wants to outsource a defined claims program while keeping a better policyholder experience and more operational visibility. I would not choose it just because “AI” appears in the story. The decision is whether the claims function should be bought as an accountable operating service rather than assembled from another toolset.
