Caretta gives technical sales reps live answers and follow-through during buyer calls

Caretta combines pre-call briefs, live sales intelligence, in-call actions and post-call CRM work for technical revenue teams.

Published · Updated

Caretta is for sales teams selling something technical enough that a rep cannot memorize every product detail, objection and account change. It sits before, during and after the call, combining live answers with the team’s accumulated call knowledge.

What it does

Caretta’s current product pages describe a pre-call brief, live web and knowledge search, in-call checklists and actions, then post-call notes, CRM updates and follow-up. It can learn from documents, websites, internal playbooks, chats and prior calls, while the YC profile frames the product as a shared sales brain that grows an objection library over time. The fit is strongest for a startup whose reps repeatedly answer questions about infrastructure, security, insurance or a large product catalog. The benefit is not just a nicer transcript. A rep can see the open discovery question, pull a sourced answer, draft the next action and send the relevant signal back to the team while the conversation is still live.

Price and controls

Caretta’s Basic plan is free and includes a notetaker, call brief, post-call automations, Slack agent, MCP server and 10 Pro calls each month. Pro is listed at $99 per seat per month; Enterprise is custom and adds metrics, an advanced brain, SSO, private deployment and custom retention. Caretta pricing The same page says a SOC 2 report is available on request; that is not a claim that the report was independently reviewed here.

The main tradeoff is operational trust. The docs say webhooks deliver at least once, ordering is not guaranteed and AI notes are best-effort. Caretta docs A team should decide which actions require confirmation, how CRM updates are reconciled, what call data can enter the shared brain and whether private VPC or on-prem deployment is required. The product’s power grows with more context, so the data boundary needs to grow deliberately too.

The YC profile identifies Kayra Bahadir, Omar Elamin and Pavlos Markesinis as founders and describes Elamin’s prior work scaling a Discord bot to 30,000 users. That is useful product context, not evidence of sales lift.

My editorial take

I would start Caretta with a technical sales team that has a repeatable objection set and a clear CRM owner. Pro is an easy price test for individual reps; Enterprise only makes sense when shared knowledge, retention or deployment controls are the actual blocker. If the sales motion is simple or the team has no discipline around source content, Caretta may create confident noise faster than it creates leverage.
