Capy is a cloud fleet for coding agents. It fits teams that want several agents working in parallel while humans review the resulting software.

## What it does

[Capy’s current homepage](https://capy.ai/) describes an AI software engineer that can plan, build and ship work from task to merged pull request. The product can run parallel coding agents, connect to tools such as Slack, Linear and GitHub, and handle work such as bug triage, end-to-end testing and recurring tasks.

The docs describe a workflow that starts a thread, connects tools, runs a change in a cloud environment, handles CI and review feedback, then opens a PR. That is a more useful product boundary than “AI writes code.” The buyer is an engineering team trying to increase throughput without asking every developer to manage a separate agent session.

## Why I’d look closer

The pricing is legible. [Capy’s pricing page](https://capy.ai/pricing) lists a Pro entry point at $20/month, higher $100, $500 and $2,000 tiers, annual billing at a discount, included usage and bonus credits. Enterprise is custom and adds BYOK, SSO/SAML, audit logging, dedicated support and custom environments. Credits cover model costs and VM compute; unused credits do not roll over.

That packaging makes the tradeoff visible. A team is not only buying an agent. It is buying parallel execution time, sandboxes and the ability to run work from places the team already uses. The cheaper plan may be enough for an individual. A team with concurrent work, security requirements and persistent environments will quickly care about the enterprise boundary.

The YC profile describes founders Nalin Semwal and Justin Sun as former MultiOn researchers and product builders who worked on web agents. The older YC launch record used the name Scrapybara for a related computer-use infrastructure product. The current Capy site and pricing page are the sources of truth for the present product surface.

## What I’d ask

I would test how a team reviews parallel changes, what happens when two agents touch related files, how much sandbox usage a typical task consumes and which integrations are included at each tier. The company says it is SOC 2 compliant and runs code in isolated environments; that is a company claim, not an independent security audit.

The other question is operational: does parallelism reduce cycle time, or does it create a larger review queue? The product makes the second problem possible as well as the first.

## My editorial take

Shortlist Capy if your team already has a steady stream of tickets, tests or migrations that can be split into reviewable tasks. It is less compelling if the bottleneck is deciding what to build or if every change requires the same senior engineer from start to finish. The product promise is parallel software work. The buyer still owns the merge decision.
