Benchify turns healthcare contract clauses and claims into executable pricing decisions

Benchify is for healthcare-contract teams that need to know what a benefit agreement actually pays—not merely what its headline rate appears to promise. Its current product turns contract terms and claims data into an executable model for bids, renewals, reconciliations and vendor negotiations.

What it does

Benchify says it converts benefit contracts into code, prices every claim, models scenarios and traces each figure back to the clause that produced it. The current site names brokers, consultants, self-funded employers and vendors as buyers. The practical advantage is the bridge from legal text to financial consequence. A buyer can compare how two contracts define a credit, rebate or exclusion and see which reading changes the net result. That is more useful than a summary when a broker or consultant must defend a recommendation to a client or negotiate a term with a vendor.

Benchify’s pricing page says the commercial model is one annual figure scoped to the book, not seats, bidders or usage. The quote considers covered lives, motions per year, PBM or medical scope and support level; reruns are included. Those are company statements; no data or security review was performed.

There is an important product-history wrinkle. Benchify’s older YC launch described self-healing code generation and a one-line SDK, while the current YC profile and homepage describe executable healthcare contracts. The current product is clear, but the old launch should not be used to recommend Benchify as a code-repair tool.

The founder context fits both the commercial and technical sides. The YC profile identifies Juan Castaño’s product, growth and transaction experience and Max von Hippel’s PhD in computer science focused on security and interactive theorem proving.

My editorial take

I would shortlist Benchify for a broker or consultant already working from claims extracts and contract PDFs, especially when a market check or renewal exposes expensive ambiguity. Start with one live agreement and make sure every output resolves to a clause and a claims assumption. If the buyer only needs a high-level contract summary, this execution layer may be more than necessary.
