attimet is selling a direction before it is selling a conventional product.

## What it does

The company’s public description is deliberately spare. The [YC profile](https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/attimet) calls it “Building the Prime Radiant” and lays out three steps: build the Prime Radiant, apply it to financial markets, then manage the world’s assets. The current [homepage](https://attimet.com/) frames the idea through Asimov’s Psychohistory: applied intelligence for what comes next.

That is a thesis, not yet a buyer workflow. The checked pages do not show a public product demo, pricing page, API, or detailed description of what a customer can use today. That does not prove those things do not exist. It does mean a prospective buyer cannot evaluate the offer from the public front door in the same way they could evaluate a normal trading tool.

## Why I’d look closer

The founder background is the clearest signal. The YC profile describes Kirthi Banothu as a former HFT engineer at Optiver and DRW who built systems for futures, crypto, equities and options, then led onboard sensor and machine-learning libraries at Argo AI. Xiaoyu Li is described as a former Optiver quant trader specializing in index and equity options market-making who later built a medium-frequency algorithmic trading team.

That combination makes the ambition legible: market structure, low-latency systems and applied intelligence. It does not answer the harder questions about mandate, risk, customers, capital, or what “manage the world’s assets” means in practice.

## My editorial take

I would put attimet on a watchlist, not a buying shortlist. It may be interesting for a founder or researcher tracking ambitious financial-AI theses. It is not yet a public product a buyer can compare on workflow, price or integration. The next useful evidence would be a concrete Prime Radiant use case, a defined customer, and a clear boundary between research, advice and asset management.
