Antihero Studios: social mobile games beginning with MISFITZ
Antihero Studios is building MISFITZ, a mass-market mobile extraction game, with a broader thesis around social play and creator-led game distribution.

Antihero Studios is a mobile game studio built around social play, creator-led distribution and a first title called MISFITZ. The company’s bet is that a mobile extraction game can make a complex multiplayer genre approachable while giving players a reason to bring friends into the loop.
What it does
The Speedrun profile says Antihero is building MISFITZ as a mass-market extraction game on mobile. It describes the studio’s broader thesis as social mechanics improving organic growth and says the team wants an enduring player-facing brand rather than one isolated release. The current company site returned only a skip-to-content surface in the checked packet, so public launch timing, platform availability and monetization are not established here.
The team’s experience is the strongest public signal. Brice Laville Saint Martin is described as a former Clash Royale art director and Supercell marketing creative director. Andre Parodi was a senior technical director at King, and Frank Yu Yan was a lead game designer on Brawl Stars and a senior designer on Hearthstone.
Why I’d look closer
The advantage is genre and distribution knowledge. Extraction games usually ask players to understand risk, inventory and multiplayer stakes; the team says it wants to make that loop mass-market and social on mobile. The brand thesis could also let Antihero compound attention across games and creators.
The tradeoff is retention and trust. Social mechanics can drive sharing, but they can also create pressure, matchmaking frustration and monetization concerns. The studio has to prove that mobile controls, session length and loss mechanics work for a broad audience—not just for players already fluent in extraction games.
What I’d ask
What is the smallest playable loop in MISFITZ, and how does a new player learn it? Which social mechanics are required for progression versus optional? How are matchmaking, cheating, purchases and player safety handled? What is the launch platform and testing plan, and how will creator distribution be measured beyond downloads?
My editorial take
Keep Antihero on the shortlist for game partnerships and early-player diligence if the team can show the actual MISFITZ loop. The founders bring rare genre experience, but the public evidence is still studio-level. The next useful proof is a playable build that makes social extraction feel inviting rather than merely familiar to experts.
