Adaptional: continuous claims review for P&C insurers

AI claims-review layer for compliance, coverage, reserves, leakage, service quality, and subrogation workflows.

Published · Updated

Adaptional is an AI claims-review layer for property-and-casualty insurers that want more than the small sample a manual QA team can inspect. The buyer decision is whether continuous review of open claims can surface compliance gaps, leakage, reserve issues, and service problems while adjusters still own the file.

What it does

Adaptional says insurers connect claims data from Guidewire, Duck Creek, or another system, define a scorecard, and let agents review every claim against criteria such as compliance, coverage, reserves, leakage, service quality, and subrogation. Issues are surfaced while files are open so managers can act rather than discovering them in a late monthly review (Adaptional homepage; YC profile).

Fact What the public sources say
Buyer P&C carriers, claims leaders, QA teams, and insurance operations
Workflow Continuous claims audit, issue alerts, reserve and leakage review, and next actions
Data path Claims files, notes, and documents from existing systems
Public positioning The company says it is already deployed at major P&C carriers
Founders Kevin Cox and Suril Kantaria

Why it fits

The product's useful distinction is timing. Manual QA reviews a small sample after the most important intervention window has passed. A continuous scorecard can identify a missed deadline, coverage mismatch, reserve issue, or subrogation opportunity while the adjuster can still correct the file. That is a better job than producing another post-hoc dashboard.

The public outcome and deployment language is company-reported, not an independent claims audit. A buyer should test sampling coverage, policy and jurisdiction rules, false positives, reserve recommendations, adjuster escalation, source citations, and how an issue becomes a documented action. The public sources do not show pricing or a complete list of live carrier systems. This is insurance-operations software, not claims or legal advice.

Founder-market fit is practical. YC describes Cox as a co-founder of Savvy who later led engineering at Clipboard Health, and Kantaria as a Savvy co-founder with early-team experience at xAI and Primer (YC company profile).

Short version: Adaptional is a strong fit for a claims organization that knows its QA sample is too small. Start with one line of business and compare surfaced issues with a senior adjuster's review before scaling the scorecard.
